The modular hospital’s setting will be in Bucharest’ Elias Hospital courtyard, based on an agreement with the hospital’s management, will be ready in four weeks, with the equipment and furnishing being left in the care of Elias Hospital and the Health Minister, Dăruiește Viață Association announced.
“The state in the Romanian medical system, close to it’s breaking point, the desease’s evolution and manifestation mode, as well as the experience of other countries show that Romania needs to immediately increase the number of beds available for treating COVID-19 patients. The way other countries proceded, like China, Spain, France, The Unitated States shows us that building modular hospitals can compensate the reduced capacity of the Romanian medical system, provided that COVID-19 means exponential growth and the need to treat many patients at the same time for a long time. Dăruiește Viață’s answer to this is building a modular hospital that already has a functional layout.”, shows Dăruiește Viață Association.
