Radiotherapy, with its treatments based on different forms of radiation, would make you think of a world in black and white, soulless and cold. Well, it is precisely that representation, which led us to imagine a world full of colours, where people, even if exposed to such extreme elements, would always come up hopeful and full of dreams.
The colour therapy would give the patients some kind of hook to set their eyes on, while staying motionless during the treatment. Moreover, the lighting bulbs, part of the design and imagined by Swedish designer Johan Lindstén, are a direct yet stylized reference to the clinic’s scope: they were created following the nuclear accident in Fukushima, with the bulb composition (the glass) as if melting and pouring because of the radiations and the high temperature.
